Refund Policy for Property Tax Overpayment

Overview
This policy outlines the procedure for refunding overpaid property taxes. If an applicant pays more than
their required tax for the current year, they can get a direct refund to their bank account by showing
proof of payment. For overpayments made in past years, the applicant must write a letter to the
Commissioner of the GMC and provide proof of the overpayment.
Current Year Overpayment
1. Proof of Overpayment:
- The applicant must present proof of the overpaid amount, which can include bank statements,
receipts, or any other valid documents.
2. Refund Process:
- Once the proof is verified, the overpaid amount will be directly refunded to the applicant's bank
account.
3. Timeframe:
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days from the date of submission of the proof of overpayment.
Past Years Overpayment
